In this episode Mark Seliger interviews Judd Apatow and Matt Mahurin. They talk about photographing tragedy, finding humanity with comedy, and meeting their heroes. From Tom Waits to Seth Rogen and Steve Martin to Henri Cartier-Bresson, they share stories of collaborating throughout their careers.
Matt started out his career in photography by simply drawing faces, however in a photographic style. Later on he started to paint on the images that he took of himself an used various mediums to create his final images. I really like his images as i find them extremly unique and i love how he uses various mediums to create them, like its not just a one off thing where it was an accident gone good, he sat there and made his images form various materials. He has worked with various companies such as Time Magazine. He has created some front covers for them.
Judd is a photographer that works for Vanity Fair. He creates realistic images of celebrities. He adds humour to his images which makes them more attractive and easier to look at instead of being forced to look at a page. I like Judd's work because it makes me laugh and i like the fact that you can laugh in a good way towards an image, personally it can change my mood throughout the day if i see a funny image and the fact that it is for Vnaity Fair makes it better.
