In episode four, Mark Seliger talks to Kevin Bacon and Bob Gruen about music, photography, shoot backs, cameras, John Lennon and more. It starts off with Bob Gruen talking about John Lennon and how when he passed he had to chose the image that he had taken for the memorial service in Central Park. Then a shoot back is explained. Kevin Bacon takes pictures of the people taking pictures of him. He does this because he wants them to know how he feels when he has his picture taken by many people.

Then we see how Bob Gruen got into photography. He got into travelling with bands and being a sort of roadie when he was young. He started out playing a few notes on instruments, however the record company liked his photos better so thats how he became more into photography. His first memorable moment was a picture of Tina Turner. It's an image of Tina moving and you see her mvoements in the image. He explains how he did it by leaving his shutter open for a while whilst there was strobes of lights from the stage. He truly thinks it was that picture that changed his life.

Kevin talks about his experiences when travelling with a band. He says how he wants to leave the hotel room and to just walk and take images. Its his quiet time. I think that its cool that hes taken his own time alone to make an art of photography.

Gruen then goes onto talk about his experience with The Rolling Stones. Kevin joins in by talking about his musical background with his family and how he got into music before acting. Then he asked how that musicians are more interesting in photographs than actors. I find that quite strange because actors should be able to make an image interesting by portraying a character.

Kevin says that he is so inspired by rock and roll photographers as  is a musician himself.

Gruen likes to tape into the band style that he is going to see. For example if he was going to see the band Kiss he would wear more leather. He does this to see what their feeling when thier playing. I think this makes a good connection with the band and the photographer.

At then end of the episode they play a game where they pick questions to ask each other. One of the questions was directed towards Gruen; what is the greatest change in photography in the last decade?. Gruen aswered that how easy it is for someone to take a picture and print it out or put it onto the internet, where as you use to have to set all the camera functions and then make contact sheets the develop them etc.

Overall i enjoyed watching this episode more than the last one because i was more interested in the topics that they were talking about such as music within photography. I also think that this episode was more relaxed than the other episode where as it went here there and everywhere, this episode focused mainly of music in photography.
