In this episode of Capture, Mark Seliger is interviewing Thomas Haden Church and Ed Keating. They discuss their experiences of 9/11 and their work in the days of the following. They also talk about how they first started as photographers and they talk about the work that is most meaningful to them.

Thomas is an actor by trade, however he started doing photography and loves the experience. I like it when actors or any other proffession decided to start up a hobby based around photography because, i think for them it feels like its thier way of actually expressing themselves as a person and not as a character they play. It also gives them their space for alone time to reflect and take some pretty awesome images.

Ed likes to take the images the most and doesn't really have too much concern what the final outcome looks like. He likes to be in the moment. All of Ed's work is mainly in black and white as it is typically what your see in  photojournalism. I think this is because it gives the image more power and emotion to be able to connect with the audience, it also brings depth into the image. The themes around Eds work is more about lonliness and alienation of humans. I think this is really interesting becaus eyou often see images about poverty and wellbeing in less developed countries, but i never really like about loneliness in an image which is interesting to me. I love Eds work that he did during 9/11. 9/11has always been something that i want to know more about, i think ive watched nearly every documentary based around it, therefor ei love to see images of 9/11 because they are so powerful, i love Ed's images as they truly show the horror of 9/11 and to know that you caputred something do frightening interests me.
