Platon is a famous photography known for shooting famous people such as Barack Obama, Gadaffi, Bill Clinton etc. I find Platons work to be bold and meaningful.

This shot of Barack Obama makes him look powerful and in charge which is what they want to portray to the US to bring hope and reliability.

The camera angle to which the shot has been taken is low angle which gives the connotation of power and dominance when the camera look up at the model. Highlighting Obama around his figure creates a colour block to make him stand out more than he already does. The blue blackground has the connotations of freedom which can portray to the public that Obama knows what he is doing and they should have trust and bow down to him.

Platon has many amazing photographs which i find interesting and not just beause of theshot but because i want to know the story behind them. No matter what story i tell myself i know it will never be the same as the story of the photographer who took the image. Every image is different and unique but only truly the photographer knows that.
